On 12-29-01, we figured we would go up to the San Bernardinos and Big Bear Lake and run a few trails. On the way up, we hit a freak winter storm that started dumping a lot of snow very quickly.

We were completely unprepared for such weather so after helping a couple of people get unstuck, we headed back down into Johnson Valley for a more comfortable wheeling situation ...
